What is eyelash adhesive? is that the same thing as eyelash glue?

yes it is the same exact thing.

eye lash glue/adhesive.

Could someone please help me in finding a biodegradable adhesive or tape or glue?

I have to do a Physics project and my teacher is all into recycling and biodegradable materials, so one of the requirements of the project is that it's entirely made out of biodegradable materials. I need some form of adhesive (tape or glue or something similar) that I could use to bond two things together. I don't have time to order it over the internet and have it shipped to me, so it would be better if the adhesive were something I could purchase at Wal-Mart or Michael's, etc.

Please help me! I can't fail this project!

Thanks!Could someone please help me in finding a biodegradable adhesive or tape or glue?

  • How do you make urea carbamide glue? Does anyone have an MSDS for this adhesive?

Unless you are going to make a lot of it, it is much cheaper to just buy. You can get the MSDS from the manufacturer once you buy it. Here is a link to buy it:

So I did something dumb. Re-applying adhesive (just used krazy glue) to my throttle, and now it sticks.?

It has an exposed tip/side on the throttle. So I applied the krazy glue to the inside of the grip, twisted it on, and it held it. Turned it, now I have a throttle that'll stick almost wherever you leave it. I didnt realize it, but im sure that some of the superglue went into the springs/worked on the side of the throttle. so Ive been spraying it with goo be gone, and trying to get it to unstick. Not much luck so far, should I shoot some wd40 into it or what?

Really stupid situation I know, completely 100 percent my fault, but I could use some adviceSo I did something dumb. Re-applying adhesive (just used krazy glue) to my throttle, and now it sticks.?
hey no the best way to get krazy glue off is use Nail polish remover (acetone) trust me just pour some on a towel and wipe it off it will come right outSo I did something dumb. Re-applying adhesive (just used krazy glue) to my throttle, and now it sticks.?
Gonna have to replace the throttle...every time the sun hits it any tackiness in there is going to stick and you could get hurt if it gets stuck on high rpms when you are trying to stop.

    Sorry dude....
Right next to superglue is a bottle called superglue remover (It's just acetone) , you MAY want to try that but who knows what that will do with the fluid around your springs.

Best bet- take it to a shop before harming your bike anymore.

epoxy resin has been mentioned can you comment regardsHave purchased peugeot roof spoiler fixed by 2 screws and glue can you advise on strong adhesive to hold on?
I'd use an adhesive sealant like sikaflex. It has a strong bond and allows for movement and vibration.Have purchased peugeot roof spoiler fixed by 2 screws and glue can you advise on strong adhesive to hold on?
not epoxy no,to inflexible.I'd use a product called';tiger seal';available from body shop motor factors.have used it successfully for years on everything from windshield to recalcient rubber trims that wont stay on.just dont get any on your fingers, takes 3-4 weeks to clean it off.
Get yourself a tube of windscreen bonding. Once its on it's a bugger to get off.
Go with Blackclo and get Tigerseal, it is what the body shops use.

What would be a better photo adhesive to use..glue stick, or double sided tape?

I am organizing all my photos into albums (not scrapbooks). The albums I picked out are plain thick brown paper so I have to stick the photos on with some kinds of adhesive. I want them to stay put for a very very long time and my experience with glue stick has been that sometimes things come a little loose. What do you think would be better for me to use for this project. The glue stick, or the double sided tape. I have no experience using double sided tape, so if you think that is the better choice, give me some tips to make the job easier...please :)What would be a better photo adhesive to use..glue stick, or double sided tape?
I would not use the glue unless it is specifically photo glue. Glue is messy, so it would not be my first choice. The glue stick would be my second choice because I don't think it is a secure, although I have run across a few that were. My first choice would be the double sided tape. It is clean and easy. You could use repositionable in case you ever wanted to change the photos. I know you think you won't, but I thought so also on some of my albums, and it turned out years later I did want to move them. Whatever choice you make, be sure it is acid free. This will protect the pictures from damage. What would be a better photo adhesive to use..glue stick, or double sided tape?
Buy an album with the page protectors ifyou want to avoid this question.

I'd say glue if you are decent at gluing, because tape can mark up the picture.

Is there any reason I can't put down good quality self-adhesive tiles over a glued down vinyl type floor?

The old floor is the original in a home built in 1978. It is glued down tight over a concrete slab. I have no idea if it has asbestos in it, so don't want to try to remove it.Is there any reason I can't put down good quality self-adhesive tiles over a glued down vinyl type floor?
Just as long as the old vinyl is thoroughly clean, your tiles can go down over the old floor. Need to use a good cleaner that will loosen up the old wax and dirt, and it will take some of the sheen off of the old floor. The tiles will stick well then.Is there any reason I can't put down good quality self-adhesive tiles over a glued down vinyl type floor?
If the existing vinyl is secure and in decent repair you can place the self-stick tiles directly to it. Just clean it well first.

Just a warining, the self-stick tiles tend to shrink very slightly over time creating gaps between tiles.
Everyone else pretty much answered your question pretty well but one thing I found that it will raise your floor about 1/8th of an inch. And for me that was enough so I couldn't have a rug in front of my back door. Just keep your clearances in mind. Otherwise good luck.
As long as you lay the tiles properly, you will end up w/ a very professional looking floor....always measure and start in the middle, placing tiles outward in even distribution. And be sure to double check the pattern; the backside of each tile will have an arrow on the paper backing, keep all arrows pointing in the same direction. the tiles will stick to the old flooring extremely well, as long as you give that old floor one last very good cleaning w/ a non-residue solution.
It will be fine.Continue with your project
Believe it or not you should prime it, they (floor store) have a special primer to make sure they adhere to your existing floor tile, check it out, good luck Les the painter
sand it good ,clean it good ,it will work ok!!
There is No reason that you can't go over the old vinyl with new stuff, EXCEPT, if the old floor covering is loose anywhere. If not, clean it real well and you'll be proud of your new floor and your handiwork.

Ardell Lashtite Adhesive False Eyelash Glue?

Okay, I love false eyelashes and used to wear them everyday.

Unfortunately for me, I became allergic to the latex that most glues use, so I bought this product.

I have used them once before and have a couple of questions:

Do I put the lashes on the actual skin of my eyelid next to the hair roots, or on the lashes themselves and NOT on the skin?

What's the easiest way to remove them? I tried it once and it didn't go so well. I used the removal that came with the adhesive and had a whole lot of trouble getting the eyelashes off.

I know that it's for individual lashes only, but what would happen if I used it with strip lashes? Is it okay or bad?

Thank you very much for your help :)Ardell Lashtite Adhesive False Eyelash Glue?
    Hello!

I absolutely love false eyelashes and wear them 85% of the time :-)

When it comes to the Ardell Lashtite adhesive, it's better to apply the glue in between your eyelash hairs as opposed to on the actual skin of your eyelash. If it comes into contact of your tightline (wet skin that touches eyeball), it will slightly burn, so please be careful. The fumes can be a little overwhelming to some but you can get used to it and be sure to use just a little. A little goes a long way and can last for a couple of weeks, depending upon the person.

I would not recommend using the Lashtite adhesive on strip lashes because of the thickness of the fiber binding the lashes to create the strip. It will become extremely difficult and can irritate your eyelids when sleeping at night.

The easiest way to remove your eyelashes is with Lashfree remover. Simply dip a clean q-tip into the Lashfree bottle and rotate the moistened q-tip on the top of your eyelashes in a rolling motion. It is a bit time consuming to remove but its recommended this way as opposed to pulling. You can pull your actual eyelash hairs.

Be careful, and take your time. Practice makes perfect!

    Be blessed

What is the best adhesive to use when gluing a wood frame to a mirror?

If you are gluing the backing of the mirror to any part of the wood frame, you need to use mirror mastic so that the silver will not come off. If you are gluing the frame around the mirror, I would use either Locktite or a silicone based glue, like E6000 or plumbers goop. When I glued a frame around a bathroom mirror that was already adhered to the wall, I found Locktite's very fast grab to be the best because it was a difficult place to use clamps which most glues would require when adhering slick surfaces. But, if you can lay the mirror flat, just use clamps if you use a silicone based glue until it cures. What is the best adhesive to use when gluing a wood frame to a mirror?
I read this question and thought ';guerilla glue'; (don't know how to spell it) but Tucci already answered...lol...I use it for alot of stuff :)What is the best adhesive to use when gluing a wood frame to a mirror?
    gorilla glue
Be aware some glues will eat away/damage the mirror.
Gorilla Glue is a popular multi surface adhesive. Keep in mind that many multi surface, high strength adhesives are also expansive when they dry. Loctite makes a product called Power Grab. It comes in a pressureized tube and shrinks only mildly when it dries. I don't know if it is speced for wood and glass...
why would you want to glue it? try to nail it with brads...
My favorite stuff is Liquid Nail, I use it for everything.
I've used the silicone adhesives and worked very good, even in an area that had a lot of vibration (in an industrial setting).

What is the best method/adhesive to use when gluing bone with metal?

The objects in question are a shark tooth and a silver clasp. What is the best method/adhesive to use when gluing bone with metal?
An epoxy resin (such as Araldite) will probably wie you the best bond. Cyanoacrylate glues (superglues) will stick them but the join won't be as strong and will be more likely to break apart. What is the best method/adhesive to use when gluing bone with metal?
I know you can glue false teeth to a partial plate (metal) using cyanoacrylate glue, brand name, super glue. Seems like it would work.

What is the best adhesive for gluing onyx or other beads such as coral to gold or other metals?

like everything it depends. It depends on what the exact materials are, how closely they fit and what they are to be used for.

Let me explain. If you are going to stick a cabachon or domed stone with a flat back into a piece of jewellery that fits it exactly, then superglue (cyanoacrylate) will do - sets in seconds and loves gluing fingers so be careful. But this not usually used for items where durability and flexibility are needed.

You mention onyx and coral. Both of these are porous - will absorb moisture - So I would suggest that you look at using a two part epoxy resin glue. Make sure that both the stones and the metal are clean and free of grease. When I make up jewellery using gold plated or silver plated items I scratch the surface of the metal with emery paper underneath where the stone is to be set - so that the scratches can't be seen. Then I apply the glue to the metal - not the stone. That way you only put glue where its needed. Wipe off excess glue straight away OR leave until fully cured then cut off excess with a sharp knife. Even if you use a 5 minute epoxy, still wait 24 hours before using the jewellery.

Remember to check that the glue dries clear. Check coral for being colour fast as a lot of it is dyed and sometimes the dye comes out in the presence of certain chemicals. What is the best adhesive for gluing onyx or other beads such as coral to gold or other metals?
I've had success with Goop. It comes in a tube, in the jewelry or glue section of craft stores. What is the best adhesive for gluing onyx or other beads such as coral to gold or other metals?
    krazy glue
Use two part epoxy. Although, if your metal is gold, platinum, or silver, please have the stone set by a professional (or learn how to set it). Glue is just such a cheap way to assemble jewelry. *shiver*

    It's like cheating.

  • For thread beaded jewlery, what is the best adhesive to use after attaching clasps? Right now I use super glue

I use Bead Fix or E-6000. Both work great. I do usually use clamshells or beadtips at the end when I am working with threaded bead jewelry. After I slide the beadtip on I knot it tightly and add some glue to the knot and around the hole on the beadtip for extra security. The beadtips also lend a completed look than just a knot and they hook right onto the clasp.

    Chair rail adhesive ?Super Glue?

Can I use Super glue to apply my polyurethane rails? The nails make a hole I can't see to fix and the liquid glue I bought doesn't seem to work.Chair rail adhesive ?Super Glue?
Liquid Nails is a good solution. Make sure you read the label and choose the right one. Some with solvents in them can eat away at foam, vinyl, plastic etc. These two will work:

    Multi-Purpose Adhesive (BC-290)

    Paneling %26amp; Molding (LN-606)

You may want to let it set for a few minutes before actually attaching it to the wall. If it still wants to slip simply apply a few pieces of masking tape until the adhesive sets up enough to hold the rail in place.Chair rail adhesive ?Super Glue?
Gorilla glue works the best. I used it to fix the pole on my bed 5 years ago and it is still holing strong.
    Try some gorilla glue.
No, Super Glue does not offer the ability to flex with dryness and humidty so it'll eventually lose adhesion. There is a product called Liquid Nails available at hardware and home decorating stores that will do a much better job than Super Glue. Try that instead.
Get you a tube of Liquid Nail and a caulking gun. After you have marked your level line on the wall at the height that you want your rail, and have it cut to size, THEN apply the a bead of Liquid Nails on the back of your railing. Have someone help you hold it in place, and then secure it every 15'; or so with finishing nails.(They will have a tiny indentation in the head of them.) Get a ';nail set'; or use a big 16 penney nail to countersink your finishing nails~just below the surface~and then fill the holes with paintable caulking. Use a wet cloth or your finger to remove excess and smooth it out. If you are going with white, you may not even have to paint over it if you use white caulk:)

    Good Luck!!
Super Glue (Cyanoacrylic) can damage polyurethane. Try contacting your local hardware and seek advise.
try construction adhesive, they make a variety for every purpose.
Loctite makes a product called PowerGrab that would work very well for your project. It is a construction adhesive much like Liquid Nails, but holds much better and is a lot less messy to use. I have used it on several remodeling projects, and I highly recommend it.
I would try Liquid Nails. It is in a tube found at your local hardware store or Wal-Mart. Super gule won't hold your chair rails.

    Hope this helps..

Kawasaki uses GRP. Modified epoxy will be best actually. Vinyl ester is acceptable. Polyester is pretty old low tech now, and doesn't work reliably long term unless you actually know what you are doing and are certain of the temperature and humidity levels while using.

Don't use car products on boats. Cars don't get wet or get used in salt water near as much. If you do insist on using automotive stuff key it and seal it well, and while it will look ok cosmetically it will have the same strength as wall plaster to impact - not much.THE NAME OR THE TYPE OF GLUE/ADHESIVE USED TO BOND FIBREGLASS PWC PARTS TOGETHER?

What kind of glue/adhesive should I use for our wallpaper?

I'm totally clueless when it comes to things like this. The last time my mom and I wallpapered my room, the wallpaper was already self-adhesive. However, we bought another one last week and it was only when we got home that we realized that it was not self-adhesive. So right now, I'm asking for suggestions as to what glue (brand, kind, etc.) we should use and if there are other things we should consider before mounting the wallpaper. Thanks. What kind of glue/adhesive should I use for our wallpaper?
If the paper is not prepasted there are a number of different pastes you can use. Several things are considerations such as what surface it's going on, what room, your climate and the composition of the paper. It should say on the label if not contact the manufacturer.

Out of preference I prefer stripable paste. What kind of glue/adhesive should I use for our wallpaper?
It may not be self adhesive, but it probably is prepasted. Read the label. Very few papers are sold that are not. There are some specialty papers that aren't, but it sounds like yours isn't one of them.

If it truly isn't prepasted, any brand of wallpaper paste will work, and be strippable.

If you know how to wallpaper, you don't really need hints. The most obvious ones are don't wrap the paper around corners, and make sure you match the drops.
fyi if u live in a hot or humid climate, the glue from wallpaper actually attracts roaches, so maybe do some research on which kinds are better than others in that area

  • What are some Animal safe (or homemade) glue / adhesives?

I'm making rabbit toys and I know that you can use honey/peanut butter as ';glue';, but I'm not too sure since they are thick (and peanut butter is made with nuts, something a rabbit shouldn't eat) and will smell (not too sure about honey). Do you know any homemade or store bought glue that is animal safe when they eat it?

(If it is homemade, how to you make it?)

Thank you. What are some Animal safe (or homemade) glue / adhesives?
Try these recipes... they are people and animal safe: smile

    Homemade Glue Recipe

This is a very basic glue but works. Simply mix water and flour together until you have a paste that is the consistency of pancake batter. Heat on low for 5 minutes. You can add color (food coloring) or flavors to it.

This recipe is non-toxic but it does take awhile to dry.

    Here is another Glue Recipe

    1 cup tapioca starch

    4 Tablespoons of sugar

    2 cups of cold water

Mix starch, water and sugar in a sauce pan until all ingredients are dissolved. Stir over medium heat until it forms a paste. This mixture should be stored in an airtight container that just fits the amount that you have left. What are some Animal safe (or homemade) glue / adhesives?
XAviators answer is supposed to be funny I guess, but it's absolute BS. Gorilla Glue will expand when exposed to moisture and cause serious harm to humans and animals if ingested.

Gorilla glue. It is made from authentic gorilla parts and is perfecly safe for animals. I use it in tea as a sweetener if I am out of honey.
just buy a non-toxic glue from the store. any glue that is non-toxic will have it written on the packaging.

most animals will try to eat any home made glue, hence destroy the toy.

Got wallpaper glue/adhesive of some kind in my hair. Reactivates w/ hot water. Would maybe chem. relaxer get ?

Got wallpaper glue/adhesive of some kind in my hair while working w/ a co. He was spray soaking some of papers down first w/ a solution of water, a solvent/or dis-solvent that loosened the paper's glue backing, %26amp; a soap mix. After top layer w/ design was soaked, we could then peel it off wall. Was a second backing p.aper w/out a design to which he/we did the same thing, soak first, peel or scrape off. This is probably the point at which my hair swung forward (loose from my braid) %26amp; made contact w/ backing paper still guey w/ residue of glues from back of top layer paper (design layer) now down from walls. Whatever adhesive or chemicals residue was still in my hair, seemed to be fine after detangling %26amp; cutting away hard knots. But something was activated during the rinse out phase w/ hot water after conditioning (the last step...after first shampooing) %26amp; first, prior to both, after first detangling entire head of hair w/ 2 detangler sprays B4 going into shampoo. Noticed small rock hard knots during detangle that only came out w/ cutting them out. I was able to manually detangle/unravele one side (the side that had been in the braid that don't think made contact w/ the wall %26amp; sticky residue) later in the day same day after it occurred (went to church w/ tangled mess). But other side was so hard %26amp; so tight %26amp; so interwoven %26amp; wrapped around itself, that it wouldn't then, %26amp; still won't budge. Now, both sides need help, as wet the good side w/ a touch of those products that dissolve hair ext. glue, %26amp; w/ the vodka, which I think one or all of these made it, too, now, wrap around itself at the ends %26amp; I can't pull apart. Someone online suggested wallpaper glue dissolves in hot water, so I tried that thinking it would work, but the mess got even bigger, tighter, harder, %26amp; incorporated even more of my hair. Hot water obviously activates it or makes it mushy which begins to spread it %26amp; involve more hair. Now it is even higher on my head than before. Does anyone know if maybe a chemical hair relaxer might solve this safely %26amp; effectively while preserving my hair %26amp; not damaging it any further, %26amp; dissolve the whatever mixture of man made things or chemicals/etc. this is right out of my hair? One clerk said that she applies just the one portion of the chemicals that is used to chemically curl your hair back into her hair which relaxes the curl away %26amp; straightens her hair back to normal, if she has put too much curl into it. Would that maybe work w/ this? Or is that chemical overload?, This is a scary nightmare. I have fine/thin natural blonde but previously color enhanced processed hair, so it is too fragile to experiment w/. Locally someone suggested that believe it or not vodka will dissolve whatever adhesive is in there out, so I tried that %26amp; it almost like melted a bit of my hair. 3 yrs.ago something almost identical happened, only that time it was due to a creme conditioner that Sally's Beauty clerk reccommended along w/ other products spec. f/ my well water situation. She advised wrong type of conditioner f/ my needs (I needed one f/ BEFORE going into shampoo, she gave me one f/ AFTER. She said leave it in all day will provide even better results. Really bad advice! I did, but ignored the wet hair step first, as I was looking f/ a detangle spray that doesn't .f/ BEFORE heading in to shampoo, which can go on wet or dry, %26amp; I thought, my hair dries in seconds, whats the diff.? I was painting house exterior by myself (under duress fr/ landlord w/ a fabricated deadline to meet that suited THEIR schedule, not mine, or evictiction %26amp; working FT, too. So, I thought I'd save a few minutes. After conditioning my hair was like this, glued to itself %26amp; wrapped around like someone had whipped w/ a mixer %26amp; so intertwined that you can't tell where one end stops %26amp; ends. Wrapped so tight around each other that it is a nightmare. Can anyone help? I am desperate. Cutting would be a disaster. And not willing to undergo %26amp; endure the pain I went through 3 yrs. ago to pay salon girl to rip through it w/ a comb. I couldn't endure that drama this time, Plus, that pulled out too much hair in process %26amp; I believe there has to be something safe to remove whatever this nightmare is. I'd be willing to fly somewhere if you think you have the answer but need to see it first to be sure we're talking accurately about the exact same things. And, by now, I've got other things thrown in there, too, like a natural oil combination product from Sally's designed to remove hair extension glues, a similar, less natural, product only f/ ethnic hair, the most recent suggestion, vodka..so, stay away from me w/ matches. The Johnson detangling spray was reacting funny %26amp; was making entire strands of hair comb out from the scalp, which is not normal when I use my regular Mane 'n Tail detangling spray. But that Mane n Tail isn't always effective, either, so I was looking f/ a better more natural substitute, %26amp; Dollar Gen;. was no longer carrying Got wallpaper glue/adhesive of some kind in my hair. Reactivates w/ hot water. Would maybe chem. relaxer get ?
I wouldn't do a relaxer you don't know how that will react. I might try 1 Tbs. baking soda + 1 Tbs. clarifying shampoo. mix and shampoo in. leave on for 5 min. this will strip your hair so after you rinse put on a deep conditioner for 15 min. to seal your cuticle again. hope it works.Got wallpaper glue/adhesive of some kind in my hair. Just wash it out with a lot of warm water and maybe some shampoo under the shower - it should come out in under 5 min...

    Best glue/adhesive for the job?

i have this wooden box with panels on it, i plan to stain the box %26amp; glue wall paper on the panels, what is the best glue/adhesive to use?Best glue/adhesive for the job?
You could use a couple of different products. Since you are gluing wall paper onto wood, wallpaper glue would work just fine as long as it is on raw wood and the wood has not ben sealed with a polyurethane product. If you seal the wood then you might want to use a rubber cement product. This is a contact cement, you put it on both surfaces. let it dry then stick them together. And then you could always use the old standby ';Elmer's Glue'. It works well on almost any surface.Best glue/adhesive for the job?
If you stain the box make sure it drys for a day or two before applying wallpaper. If its a big box and you plan on using allot of wallpaper use a wallpaper prep and regular wallpaper paste. If its a small box you can use boarder paste for wallpaper or regular white glue. Apply with a paintbrush and smooth out any air bubbles or excess glue after the paper is applied.

If you do seal it and choose to use a rubber cement as the previous answer suggests make sure the sealer drys for a few days cause the contact cement can have a chemical reaction with the sealer and lift it off the wood and cause you much aggravation. I wouldnt go that route, too much things could go wrong

    Wood to latex glue/adhesive?

For my Halloween costume I need to glue a wooden ball to one of those latex makeup kits. What is the best type of glue/adhesive to use?Wood to latex glue/adhesive?
E-6000 is a unique adhesive formulated to meet high-performance industrial requirements. It adheres to more surfaces than virtually any other adhesive. E-6000 has exceptional adhesion to wood, metal, glass, fiberglass, ceramics, masonry and concrete. Not for use on Styrofoam. It also adheres strongly to leather, rubber, vinyl and many plastics. Because it is abrasion-resistant E-6000 may be used on high-wear surfaces. E-6000 maintains its flexible bond in cold temperatures and may be used to bond items subject to vibration. The clear E-6000 is not formulated for exposure to sunlight. For these applications, paint over E-6000 after it has cured.

    Wood to latex glue/adhesive?
Wood glue or fabric glue. Never super glue, will not be flexible and will crack. Allow to dry overnight.
KOOL. Try wood Glue or Material Glue. don't use super Glue.

  • What type of adhesive should i use to glue metal tabs ontop of dishwater to granite countertops.?

hot glue gun will work and it will be easy to remove when you want to take them offWhat type of adhesive should i use to glue metal tabs ontop of dishwater to granite countertops.?
Well I guess nobody knows what we in the construction trades do when installing a dishwasher into any type of stone top.

We clean the underside of the material with alcohol and then glue a small strip of wood in the correct location to accept the clips from the dishwasher. Let the epoxy/glue set up a few hours, then use small screws to attach the clips to the wood pc.What type of adhesive should i use to glue metal tabs ontop of dishwater to granite countertops.?
i would try an epoxy. 2 ton should do, if you think it will be too runny, look for a putty. it should still be a two part mixture, just knead togeather with gloves or a putty knife, and dont use this dishwasher for a few days so it can cure.
The countertop should have been drilled for the screws that connect the DW to it. You could probably use something like JB Weld, but no guarantees since the motor and wands will cause vibration.

Fake eyelashes- help! glue adhesive questions?

i don't know if the adhesive is alerady on it or not, but there is a thin glue-like part and is that just to stay on the platform when you buy them, or do i have to buy adhesive? it does't say it has adhesive on it already, and on the directions it says to apply a thin layer of the adhesive glue. so is the thing glue part on it already, to stick on or do i need to buy adhesive?Fake eyelashes- help! glue adhesive questions?
The adhesive that is on those lashes isn't exactely the best thing and tends to stck to lashes. Try to by lashes without adhesive. If you have to stick with the ones you've already purchased, simply peel off the adhesive and apply glue to the lashes. before applying cut the lashes to the leanght of your actual lashes. Let the glue dry for about 30 seconds to a minute then start applying the lashes from the outside to the inner corners of the eyes. Good luck and make sure to practice applying before the day you plan on wearing them to make them flawless!

What adhesive works the best with soft paws besides the glue it comes with?

The glue it comes with is probably your best choice.

If you just applied your first set of them and they fell off, it's probably not because of the glue.

Cat's shed the outer layer of their nails about every 6-12 weeks. When you apply the first set, you have no way of knowing when they shed their claw last. Once you reapply though, they should stay just fine for 6-12 weeks.

If you lost the glue for it, I would just buy another kit. I still had glue left over when the soft paws were gone. What adhesive works the best with soft paws besides the glue it comes with?

what do we do. she refuses to go to the hospital even though I begged her to go, but she'll have none of it.URGENT. My friend just got adhesive glue in her eye. HELP.?
straight to hospitalURGENT. My friend just got adhesive glue in her eye. HELP.?
If she is refusing to go and it seems like a Emergency phone 999 and let them know whats happen'd they will decide whether to dispatch ambulance or not.

Tell her to close the eye that is not effected with glue and so both eyes are shut as moving one eye most of the time moves the other, so thats dangerous in this situation. Place a soft sterile dressing over the other eye.
When did it happen? If just now, rinse it with water until the glue comes off, and make sure her eyes are closed, when it's a little better put some eye drops in. But, the BEST solution... Carry her, throw her in the car and drive to the hospital NOWWWW!!!! She could be blind if she doesn't go to the hospital!!
rinse best you can and if she still refuses, call an amberlance, she could lose her sight, its really important to get it sorted wheather she likes it or not, rather she was annoyed for a day or two, or deversated she lost her sight
Take her to the ER kicking and screaming if you have to. She could perm. lose her vision. They will just flush her eye and give her an ointment and send her home.
Tell her she's stupid and phone an ambulance.

Also, their should be a emergency phone number on the bottle, phone them aswell.
Well if she is refusing to go to hospital, then she is going to be in a sticky situation
Youre best bet is to water it out as much as possible........and sadly she probably should go to the doctor just to be safe. I'd also remove as much as possible.
i would get to the hospital as fast as possible. you really need her to convince her to go. ummm...howd that happen?
Happened to me. GO TO THE HOSPITAL!
silly girl rinse with water or milk and go to hospital eyes are very important
probably has swine flu, i'd go to the hospital asap
flush her eyes out with lots of water

if her eye is glued shut then you need to go to the ER
Warm water in her eyes now.
flush her eye out with bottle water if that dont help go to the hospital

    What is the skin adhesive/glue used on breathe right nasal strips made of? ';name of product/ingredients';

Some ingredients break our skin out and I would like to know exactly what the heck it is before I purchase them. There are also generics on the market but none of the boxes tell exactly whats it is! Some just say latex free, some say natural rubber latex and so on. It's aggrivating....I can't find this information on Google, Yahoo etc. It seems almost top secret! If anyone can find links on the technical ingredients can they please post them so I can read about it. My family would appreciate it!

    Is it the same as the adhesive used on bandaid bandages, I think it is different.What is the skin adhesive/glue used on breathe right nasal strips made of? ';name of product/ingredients';

    i would call the # on the box or even write them. that's what i've done before.What is the skin adhesive/glue used on breathe right nasal strips made of? ';name of product/ingredients';
I am looking at the box right now and surprisingly enough... all it says is, ';CAUTION: Packaging of this product contains Natural Rubber Latex which may cause allergic reactions. Are there spray adhesive glue for fabric that will fix this?

I bought this tee shirt and was unable to try it on because it was at a booth at the beach...I got it home and to my surprise it fit horribly. It's a very thin material, it rolls up at the bottom a little too...So I bought another baseball tee thats white with black sleeves and I want to cut out the slippery when wet logo and sew it onto the other shirt, but im not sure how to exactly. Should I sew the edges on? Is there a spray adhevise that would be easier? Im afraid if I sew the edges, the middle will lift...Any tips? Are there spray adhesive glue for fabric that will fix this?
Elmer's Craft Bond spray. You get it at Michael's for like $5... it will hold very well, won't be sticky and a lot easier than sewing! Are there spray adhesive glue for fabric that will fix this?
Go to a local fabric and craft store and get some iron on adhesive. It's usually on a roll and has to be cut at the cutting counter. The directions are on the paper side of the sheet that you buy. So when you go....just ask for fabric adhesive- or better yet, explain what you're doing and they'll likely be able to direct you to the best type of adhesive. (I'd recommend a medium weight adhesive for the most flexibility). Once it's on the new shirt, you can sew along the edges to keep it help down. Hope this helps!
I've tried many spray adhesives and they all break down over time. You may end up redoing it all of the time. If you're not good with sewing you may be able to find a seamstress who could sew it on for you and it shouldn't cost too much. You could throw a tank on under it. Layering is the style these days.
It would be easier just to have one made...all though if you did it yourself...it would be creative...you never know...you might just be on to something and start a new trend with the young people of today....Good Luck...
    dont use spray on glue...

ive used a glue gun before to do something like that.. it works pretty well.. you only have to touch it up every so often..
You can go to most any fabric store and buy yourself a sheet of iron on application paper. Use this to baste the back of the image and then iron it on.

You could also scan it into your computer, then print it out on a iron transfer sheet, that you can buy at any Staples or Business Depot store.

    Those are your best bets...
You should definately sew it on. There is a spray type of adhesive, sort of like a ptch glue, and you could use that. I dont know what its called. Try a fabric store
There is many products that can be used at your local craft store. One I believe would work best, would be the iron on transfers. You can take the item that you want to move to the other shirt, place the iron on transfer material on the back of the saying or logo, and then adhere. Good luck
there are a number of good fabric adhesives, both spray on and iron on. try stich witchery, which is an iron on fabric adhesive. you can find it just about anywhere. check with your local fabric store as well. we just recently made a bunch of customes for halloween and the iron on adhesive stuff worked great
I'm not sure a spray adhesive or a fabric glue would give you permanent results.

There's an iron-on adhesive material that you lay down between the logo and the new baseball tee, then cover all three layers with a damp cloth, apply a hot iron for several seconds, then remove, and voila! the logo adheres to the baseball tee.

The brand I use is ';Stitch Witchery'; (TM), and it's available in the notions departments of fabric or crafts stores. There may be other brands available, as well.

Under the heat of the iron, the adhesive material melts a bit between the other two fabrics, and then, as it cools, it bonds them together pretty permanently. It has always worked well for me.

Check to see how the edge did - you might want to go around the edge of the logo with a few hand-sewn stitches, just to make sure the edge lies perfectly flat. But you may find you don't need to.

    Good luck with your project!

What kind of adhesive/glue will best fit my application needs?

I recently purchased a GPS unit. The bracket arm that came included with the system has horrible suction, causing my GPS to fall off. A black circular (coaster-like) disc was successfully applied to the windshield. It has a strong adhesive bonding it to the windshield. This coaster-like disc is very securely attached (trust me, it ain't going anywhere anytime soon!). The bracket arm has a soft rubber suction cup at the end, that is then applied to the black coaster-like disc. The idea is that the suction cup will fasten securely to the black coaster-like disc. The problem is that the suction is so poor that the bracket arm just falls off, and with it....the GPS as well. I need a VERY STRONG and VERY FAST ACTING adhesive that will securely bond rubber and plastic together within a few short minutes. Which product should I use??? Remember : It has to be VERY strong %26amp; dry VERY fast. PLEASE HELP!!!! ;)What kind of adhesive/glue will best fit my application needs?
I would suggest an acetylene epoxy, like superglue gel? it will melt them together, basically.

What is a good adhesive/glue for broken PVC pipes?

I accidentally hit one of the sprinklers in my garden with my weed whacker a few days ago. It sent the top half of the sprinkler flying, but I found it after some searching. Apparently the whacker cut straight through the PVC pipe, but luckily the sprinkler itself is intact. The problem I have now is that replacing the pipe would probably take a lot of digging, and I was wondering if it's possible (and advisable) to just glue the part that was cut off back together. Is this a good idea? And if so, should I sand both parts down first or just match them (it's a pretty clean cut except for one jagged section, but the jagged section is present in both of the broken pipes, so it fits perfectly). What brand of glue should I use?

Thanks in advance! What is a good adhesive/glue for broken PVC pipes?
    tool / material needed:

1ft. pvc pipe ( same dia. as existing)

    2 couplings

    pvc cleaner and pvc glue

pvc cutters, or hacksaw if you already have one

cut bad section of pipe out. de-burr it with a knife if needed to ensure easy fit for new pipe.

glue one coupling on new pipe (after using pvc cleaner).

determine new length of pipe needed, and cut to size.

glue remaining coupling on other side of new pipe.

clean old pipe with cleaner, and glue both sides of new couplings and old pipe, and connect.

ALWAYS CLEAN AND GLUE BOTH PIECES, male and female,..... FEMALE FIRST. pressure test before you fill in the hole. What is a good adhesive/glue for broken PVC pipes?
You can't glue the pipe back together, period. If there's enough room, there's a sleeve that you can use to mend the pipe with pvc glue. Note that pvc glue really isn't glue at all but a solvent that melts the pipe so you should never use too much. Here's a link to show parts that you might need. http://www.plumbingsupply.com/quick-repa鈥?/a>
cut the pipe on either side of the break, buy PVC cleaner and glue (purple stuff), buy a fitting to fit in the space, and bada bing, youre done.

    never patch PVC.
Unless you can find a coupling to fit the pipe, dig down and replace the whole unit. You will regret trying to 'patch'; it.

A good auto store should have sticky double sided pads designed specially for fitting mirrors to windscreen.

Make sure you clean up the mirror and screen before you re-fit itWhat type of adhesive or glues can I use to put my rear view mirror back on my window shield to my car?
    ANY car parts store, WalMart.

They make a glue kit just for that.
You can find a kit at any auto parts or discount store. The most important thing is to make sure all the old adhesive is gone and the area is clean or you will eventually be doing it again.
Its Permatex 81844 Rearview Mirror Adhesive, 2 part kit...you can get the details from the site below...
Rear view mirror adhesive. You'll find it in auto parts.
all the other guys are right. any auto parts store has a kit or even walmart. remember that before u put the new one. clean tha surface really well other wise its just gonna fall off again. use a razor and alcohol pads.
Any good 'super glue'; will work - a rear view mirror kit works great as well, check auto parts stores or Wal Mart, etc.

What kind of glue, adhesive or elastic band did Adam and Eve used to keep their leaves in their place?

what kind of leaves they wore, and did they used it too in the rear? What kind of glue, adhesive or elastic band did Adam and Eve used to keep their leaves in their place?
They were fig leaves correct? The ';fig'; in biblical times was cannabis... I'd imagine they used hemp rope. Actually they weren't even real historical human beings, they were merely a personification of the constellation of the Zodiac known as Gemini The Twins. What kind of glue, adhesive or elastic band did Adam and Eve used to keep their leaves in their place?
Then the eyes of both of them became opened and they began to realize that they were naked. Hence they SEWED FIG LEAVES together and made loin coverings for themselves. - Genesis 3:7

Fig leaves can differ in size btw, some are larger than 1 ft. so thats enough to cover. Plus they sewed them together to cover larger areas.
they weaved the leaves on to vines, and pulled the vines really really tight [like a belt] around their waist and for eve chest. then they tied the vines in a knot to kepp them from falling
My mom and her boyfriend went as Adam and Eve on Halloween.

They just used a a safety pin on their flesh colored outfit that came with it.

    ..ouch.
They were supposedly the only two people on earth, do you really think they needed to cover up using leaves?
they didn't even have leaves! we added them because Eve learned what shame was when she ate the apple. That cow.

BTW they were FIG leaves that we added.
I was going to say they used vines to tie the leaves in place, but I like the tree sap idea too.
Artist put leaves on Adam and Eve. They didn't really wear anything.
Adam %26amp; Eve is just a story that is symbolic for earlier people. Just read the bible. I did.
    Who said they wore leaves.
    Best question I've read today!

Carpenter's glue perhaps? Although that came much later. Crazy glue?
Duck tape... it works for everything!
When the juice dries it gets kind of sticky.

    I'm talking about berry juice.
i don't think the wore them in the rear! lol! i think used Elmer's glue?! lol
    they used Adams sperm!
    Fig leaves are small.
I assumed it was pine tar.
    lots of saliva!

What is the best adhesive for gluing metal to wood?

I am making a project for Fine motor skills. I will have screws through a piece of wood. The patient will put wingnuts on the screws. I thought it would be good to put some sort of adhesive to attach the screw to the wood on the backside. What is the best adhesive for gluing metal to wood?
J B Weld sold at home depotWhat is the best adhesive for gluing metal to wood?
Hi, Jeanette, I think I know what you're talking about because I've seen other patients doing similar when my wife was having some therapy.

First, the issue at hand. I doubt adhesives will help. The screw / bolt will still probably wobble in the hole thru the wood making it harder for the patient. Accidental pressure on the protruding end will likely break the adhesive bond.

Why not try this. Use a screw/bolt a little longer than desired. Get a ';Hex'; nut the same size as the screw. Insert the screw thru the hole in the wood, then ';screw on'; the hex nut onto the other end until the whole assembly (screw, hex nut) is very tight so that there is no wobble and it cannot be turned. You might need a pair of ';pliers'; to do this. If you're not comfortable with it, ask around and I'm sure you will find someone glad to help.

End result: You will have a hole in a piece of wood with a screw/bolt going thru it. One side will have the ';Head'; of the bolt. The other side will have the threads showing with the ';hex'; nut holding it firmly in place but enough threads showing for your patients to work with.

Use a screw/bolt long enough to leave enough threads for your patients to work with (no interference from proximity to the wood, etc.).

One other thing. Machined screws, bolts, nuts, wingnuts, etc., are not always perfect, especially not the variety found at local hardware stores. Before using, try them yourself. Be sure that ALL of the wingnuts and ALL of the screws fit together easily. Discard those that don't go on easily.

Your patients do not need mechanical interference. If you know someone handy, they may be able to file a ';lead'; on the thread end to help patients get the wingnut ';centered'; before trying to screw them on.

If I read your question correctly, this oughta help and last a while. Noble cause. Best to you and your patients. Keep doing good things. Thank you.
I assume you can get araldite in your part of the world, its a two pack adhesive that you mix together and goes off like you are not going to get it apart again.Just need to put some behind the head of the screw and the top few threads as you put it into the wood then put the wing nuts on till set, make sure you dont get it on the nut ends of the tread or you wont get them off.

  • What adhesive/glue should I use to mount/stick a Canvas print to MDF?

Hi, I need to mount a large canvas print to MDF and need to come up with a solution which will last as it is for a proffessional photographer, does anyone have any tried and tested methods which they found to be reliable and stand the test of time?

ThanksWhat adhesive/glue should I use to mount/stick a Canvas print to MDF?
';Spray Mount';. It was made for that purpose and shouldn't soak into or discolour the canvas.

It is effectively a weak solvent based adhesive.

Failing that, I'd use strips of double sided tape as close as possible to eachother so as to completely cover the surface.

Hope that helps. What adhesive/glue should I use to mount/stick a Canvas print to MDF?
    None.

If its a canvas have it stretched onto a wooden frame then mount and frame the stretched canvas !
It depends if you want it to be permanent or not? If you want it to be permanent I would use an archival PVA (like Jade). If you want to be able to remove it, I would make some wheat paste, (which can be removed with warm water), but depending on the thickness of your canvas, this may be insufficient.
There are adhesives made especially for mounting photos. It should be available at any real camera store or perhaps a really good hobby shop.

I'd think twice before mounting to any non-archival surface. The adhesive might protect the print but I'd hate to risk it.

Check at archivalmethods.com and ilfordphoto.com for information on archival mounting techniques and materials.

    Allergic to eyelash adhesive glue?

If you are allergic to eyelash adhesive glue will your eyelid swell up? Because I bought a pair of false eyelashes and I tried them on twice, but only on one eyelid and then a day or two later my eyelid became swollen, so could that be the cause? and if so how can I get the swelling to go down fast? and ive tried ice but what could I do if it is because of an allergy to adhesive glue? and I really, really need it to be gone. p.s. its not itchy, or red or painful.Allergic to eyelash adhesive glue?
Sounds like an allergy. You should look for a formula that is surgical grade quality, as that will be the most gentle.

Also, be aware that sometimes the glue is meant to be applied directly on the lashes and not the skin. Applying glue that is meant for the lashes on the skin will be sure to cause an allergic reaction.

How can i remove Processor stick with heat sink with glue Adhesive?

I was removing only heat sink from my motherboard, i didnt know that Processor is stick with some kind of strong adhesive and it came out with heat sink.now i cannot fix that processor back because socket of processor remains closed when i attach processor again, when i open socket, lever of socket remains up and i cannot fix processor again because heat sink is stick with it, how can i remove adhesive between Processor %26amp; Heat Sink ?How can i remove Processor stick with heat sink with glue Adhesive?
Sounds like older silicone based thermal glue. Like the previous guy said heat it up with a hair dryer and then clean everything up good with rubbing alcohol. Check that you didn鈥檛 damage either the pins on the processor or the socket when it pulled out (hope not) when you reassemble use silver based thermal grease (cost about $2-$5 a tube) it is better at heat transfer than the old glue and wont stick next time. How can i remove Processor stick with heat sink with glue Adhesive?
It is not adhesive, it's heat sink compound. Usually if you hold the heatsink and gently rotate the processor back and forth the compound losens. Alternativelt gently insert a flat blade scredriver blade between them and gentle twist to prise them apart (Note the word GENTLY)

You will then have to clean ALL the compound off both sides and put NEW heat sink compound on b4 you refit it all. otherwise you run real risk of the CPU overheating
pls define your processor type or mother board model
When I remove the heat sinks I heat it up with a hairdryer. All you need to do is heat it up enough to slide the processor off.

You could also try to wedge a credit card between the 2 but be very careful.

Then to clean it off use some Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol

umm I don't know. WD-40 and some prewash after you get the Glue out.
I would suggest using hot water because it will keep the glue from getting to sticky. If you use cold water, the glue won't desolve. And once it's dried, it's on there.

    Good luck.

What type of adhesive do i use to glue a solid wood floor to a concrete floor?

You should always use the manufacturers' recommended adhesives for any flooring product. The flooring manufacturer will require you to go to the adhesive manufacturer for any warranty issues. However, if there is no recommended adhesive, we use Bostik's Best for the majority of our wood installations. Before you install, make certain to allow the solid wood flooring to acclimate in the area in which it is to be installed for at least 48 hours prior to installation.

Be warned. Although we do install wood flooring directly to concrete slabs on a regular basis, if you decide to change floors later on, demo of the wood is a painstaking process. What type of adhesive do i use to glue a solid wood floor to a concrete floor?
If you're talking about gluing a solid wood floor over concrete, don't try! You should put ply wood down first with a ramset or using cap-con screws. If you use 3/4'; ply, you will probably be able to use flooring nails and the gun. Better yet, if you have enough room to put strapping down first and screw the plywood to them, you'll be better off. What type of adhesive do i use to glue a solid wood floor to a concrete floor?
The local hardware Stores (like Lowes and Home Depot) have constantly at various times discussions like this -- in laying down hardwood floors over concrete slabs. GO to these seminars, get the handouts, and sit down and LEARN!
    Gorilla glue works great!
Agree with ramset... don't do it! Wood and concrete expand and contract differently with fluctuations in temperature and moisture. You should get some good advice (moisture barrier, for instance?) from a building supply store or contractor before proceeding.

    Good luck with the project!
Rather than glue the wood flooring TO the concrete, I suggest that you glue the flooring to ITSELF.... creating a ';floating floor';.

The reason for this, is that concrete acts a conduit for moisture. You NEED a moisture barrier between the concrete, and the flooring! Typically, this is a 6 mil thick sheet of plastic... not expensive at all, and it can save you a ton of money and frustration down the road. Concrete acts as a straw, literally, sucking moisture up thru it....this WILL damage any flooring laid directly onto it.

To create a ';floating floor'; you use a method called tongue and groove gluing. And any good brand of wood glue will work for this... I happen to prefer Titebond wood glues myself, Ive worked with them for several years, and have never had any problems.

I would also recommend that you go to a Lowe's or other chain store, and sit thru one of their classes on the subject...you can pick up some very good tips on how to do the job, which will make it much easier.

    Have Fun!

I had a cap fall off of a tooth do they make an adhesive to glue it back on myself?

Yes, they do make a temporary cement that you can purchase over-the-counter in the event you can't get to a dentist and need to cap placed back on immediately. However.. keep in mind that the cement is ';temporary';!! Most people think that as long as it keeps it on that's it's ok. Not the case. Get in to see your dentist as soon as possible so it can be recemented properly. The tooth and the inside of the crown needs to be cleaned and also it will be seated correctly if the dentist does it. Not doing it properly could lead to caries developing underneath the crown. Also, if a crown is left off for too long, the tooth will shift causing the crown to no longer fit... a new crown will be very costly.I had a cap fall off of a tooth do they make an adhesive to glue it back on myself?
try Recapit庐 available at CVS pharmacy

I had a cap fall off of a tooth do they make an adhesive to glue it back on myself?
No, you need to have the dentist do it. He will make sure the tooth is cleaned out before recapping it; you don't want stuff growing in there under the cap.
It's extremely likely that you would still have to go to the dentist, but have them clean the tooth of the gunk you put on and perhaps redo the cap. Best to just go the dentist and have them fix it.
ya but ill be false one...
If they do, I wouldn't try it. It needs to be a perfect fit, or it could cause more trouble than it's meant to solve.
There is a temporary cement that you can buy at drug stores and they work fairly well. This is temporary and you should get the dentist to redo the cement as soon as you can.
the stores sell some but it is temporary until you can get to your dentist to fix it.
Yes indeed! Wal-Mart sells two different types. Just go to the toothpaste/toothbrush aisle and look in the section that has small items hanging from pegs. You will find it there.

I suspect most any drug store would carry at least one type.

Do NOT use super glue...big BIG mistake! ;)

    Good Luck!
No you have to go into the denists office and they have to use some special x-ray light to dry it
you can put it back on but dont recommend it..if you put it on wrong decay can get under it and is a good place for bacteria to grow..also if you put it on and its not completely seated it will be high which will cause you to chew on it more than your other teeth which eveantually make it really sore and cause a tooth ache... you dont need a light like some one said unless it is an all porcelain crown. Most ccrowns have metal under them that you cant see which would make the light no tshine through... Only an x-ray will show if the crown still fits well and there is no decay left or around it...

Which adhesive is better, super glue or a hot glue gun?

i have a hot glue gun for my crafting and i use all kinds of materiel's like plastic, paper, cardboard, and so on. now hot glue is good but it can be dangerous and also expensive to keep buying glue sticks for it, now i was wondering if super glue would be the better choice as it is quicker drying.Which adhesive is better, super glue or a hot glue gun?
I actually prefer some of the new multi-purpose glues to both hot glue and super glue. That is because they have a faster grab, are weather and water proof, are not affected by temperature and can be used to adhere porous to nonporous items. WellBond, the new Elmer's Glue All, even U-Hu all are more versatile and less expensive than either super or hot glueWhich adhesive is better, super glue or a hot glue gun?
There are many different glues available from craft shops, you don't need to be using hot glue at all. My mom makes a lot of cards and has many different glues. Go into your local craft store and one of the people working there will point you in the right direction.
super glue doesnt work on things that dont fit together perfectly. i always have both types on hand.

Mitch Hedburg is a verry funny guy, to bad you had to steal his joke.

But, if youre acually asking: the sesame seeds are applied before baking. They stick to the bun because prior to adding the seeds an egg-wash is brushed onto the bun. An eg-wash is a roughly 1:1 mix of egg and water. The egg-wash is what makes any baked good turn a nice golden brown during baking.

Yea it is just as good as super glueWill adhesive glue work 4 fake nails?
use nail glueWill adhesive glue work 4 fake nails?
it sure will, but remember all the chemicals in it get into ur blood stream. the nail glue is less toxic.
Stick to nail glue...any other glue will dry out your nails and cause them split or break easily.
use nail glue. do not use any other type of glue or it will eat at your nail. Nail glue is specifically designed for the nail enamel.
i used to find that super glue works better than the glue provided for fake nails. however this will damage your nails when taking the nails off since it sticks too well and the first coat of the nail itself will peal. so what i used to do was apply a thin coat of transparent nailpolish, wait for it to dry, then stick on the nails with super glue. they remained on for quite a while and with no damage to my natural nails.

Whats the best way to remove dried glue/adhesive from a wood floor?

I recently started work on my enclosed porch. The first thing I did was pull out the old carpet. Underneath I found dried glue all over the plank wood floor. Now, I'd like to make this as easy as possible (I'm thinking of vinyl tile or carpet). the only problem is the glue; its a pain scraping it off. If I dont scrape off this adhesive, the vinyl tiles will bubble up, and my last choice is carpet. Any ideas? thanksWhats the best way to remove dried glue/adhesive from a wood floor?
The best thing to use on glue is baby oil I use it for glue, gum and when there is old tape stuck on something it will break the glue up if you soak it over night in it and it will come off easier. I hope this helps and I haven't tried this but I know some people use downy to remove old wall paper they claim it will also break up the glue.Whats the best way to remove dried glue/adhesive from a wood floor?
Removing glue can be a difficult procedure. Try to determine whether the adhesive is a water base system or a solvent base system. One way of doing this is to pour warm soapy water on the adhesive to see if it helps to soften it up. If that method doesn't work, try a little solvent such as LePage PolyClens or LePage Poly Super Strippa on a cloth to see if that helps to soften the adhesive, taking care not to damage your surface. Glue that has been in place for a long time will become quite hard and the only way to remove it may be by abrading or sanding the adhesive down.

If you're not concerned with the finish on the wood, look for a solvent that will dissolve the glue, Some of the newer strippers work well on mastic. 2nd choice, a heat gun used with a scraper. lots of elbow grease for that one. 3rd. Look for a scraper adapter for a reciprocating saw. (Think Sawzall) I saw one for sale a few weeks ago but haven't actually used it.
It is best not to try taking up the dried glue. It is better to skim over the floor with a floor patch. If you are going you use a vinyl tile, I reccomend the brand Ardex. Another brand, Dependable is good too, but only if you mix it with liquid latex and not water.
It's a pain scraping... but guess what. That's how you're gonna get most of it off. The only other thing you can try is sanding.

I'd get one of those scrapers that you pull, as opposed to the type that look like a spackle knife. It will cut the hard glue much faster and easier.
maybe take parchment paper on top of glue and then put hot iron on top of it to heat it up, maybe then you can use a strapper and it will come off. i have never tried it but sounds like it could work
Rent a big industrial belt (floor sander) from lowes or home depot. Hold on tight and keep it level, take the whole floor down a layer and be done with it.
I'd try paint remover, or just replacing the floor.
rubbing alcohol will loosen it up enough that you can get it up without damaging the floor
Sanding is the only solution I know of. A belt sander should make short work of it.
    acid
    sander !!
    lemon juice
i know peanut butter works w/ carpet, so u could try that. or toothpaste

If it was caught on one of those sticky traps use veggie oil. It usually works.
Baby oil or cold creme make up remover. Both will remove adhesives as well as pine tar!
Are you talking about a glue-board for mice disposal? You'll never get that adhesive to dissolve. If you can, try cutting the hair off very gently. I wish you luck :)
Peanut Butter it takes chewing gum out of hair so try it!

rub it for a while them comb it out.
    Mineral oil!!!!
That happened to my rabbit before and he ended up getting a hair cut, but unfortunately hamster hair is too short so I'd suggest vegetable oil or baby oil. Any type of cooking oil or remover products will work just make sure they won't cause harm to your hamster.

What is the best adhesive to use to bond corrugated together, cold glue(white glue) or hot melt? and why?

i need to find some supporting data in why one or the other is better for bonding corrugated. What is the best adhesive to use to bond corrugated together, cold glue(white glue) or hot melt? and why?
Assuming you are asking about corrugated cardboard, then the white glue will provide a more permanent bond if you keep it dry.

The white glue will seep further into the pores of the cardboard and when it sets up will give the glue more hold. Hot melt tends to only attach on or near the surfaceWhat is the best adhesive to use to bond corrugated together, cold glue(white glue) or hot melt? and why?
I have observed that cold or white glue is much stronger that hot melt, but it will take more time, in fact a lot of time to dry, unlike the hot melt. hot melt dont ussually hold in smooth surfaces. white glue is ideal to any kind of surfaces, but the set back is it water based which can limit its applicable materials

i have the same problem.. fiberglass tub %26amp; anything more refined %26amp; including laquer thinner will eat the finish... paint thinner / mineral spirits is the route i'm taking!
product call goo gone or goo b gone or try adhesive remover

Take a small piece of steel wool, not the soap pads, just plain steel wool, and gently buff the stain, it may completely remove or it may not, but if it doesn't then you can buy a can of vehicle paint that matches your car color at an auto store, if you have used the steel wool then you are ready to apply the paint,,when the paint dries, then gently buff again with steel wool, and your problem should be gone. How do i remove a super glue stain on my car door? i tried the Adhesive remover and razor but nothing.?
use denatured alcohol. it cleans really well and won't hurt the paint either. double check in an inconspicuous place first (wheel well, or some other place that cannot be seen)...

no. it won't work. best to take it to a glass shop. if you ignore it you risk a lot more problems from water leaks.
U normally need an epoxy %26amp; u need 2 take the pressure off the canvas %26amp; clamp it alot..weatherstrip is ok 4 moulding etc..

Is it possible to remove a dried glue stain (Copydex, Laytex Adhesive) from a cotton hoodie? Thanks.?

Have already tried soaking and washing but the stain is not coming off. It is large across the entire back of the hoodie. Have tried stain remover and has not moved the stain at all.Is it possible to remove a dried glue stain (Copydex, Laytex Adhesive) from a cotton hoodie? Thanks.?
Once glue has dried and set, it is very hard to remove. If glue has found its way onto upholstery, use a spoon, knife or paper towel to scrape and blot the glue without stretching the material. Apply a few sprays of clear water to the stained surface, letting it sit for a few seconds before blotting it. Repeat as often as you need to get rid of the stain.

If this is unsuccessful, make a mixture of water and a few drops of washing up liquid (preferably clear). Spray this mixture on the stain and blot it. Rinse with clear water before repeating. Once done, to ensure that all the glue has been removed, spray with a mixture of half vinegar, half water. Blotting this mixture will bring out and deep down stains.

I need help getting this off of the puppy. I tried washing her and I put alcohol on it, but it's still really sticky and won't come off. It seems like it's different than other glues....any suggestions??

Thanks! How to get adhesive out of hair? My kids put eyelash glue on the dogs...can't get it out of their hair help!!
Oh dear, I've never had this happen before. Call a dog groomer and see if they have any suggestions. Good Luck!!!How to get adhesive out of hair? My kids put eyelash glue on the dogs...can't get it out of their hair help!!
Peanut butter or vegetable oil should work. My cat got some of my leg wax on his tail and vegetable oil and a brush got it out.
Can you carefully trim the pup's fur where the glue is? How old is the pup? Tried bathing him with luke warm water and puppy shampoo?

You should REALLY keep a closer eye on your children when they are with the puppy, you're lucky they didn't get it in his eyes!!!
If the hair is long, then you might try cutting it out. If the dog has short hair, you might be able to shave the spot with a pair of clippers. You could try using a small amount of DAWN soap on just that spot- it will take out grease, not sure about adhesives.

Unfortunately, most adhesive removers might be toxic to your dog as well.
Well You can try to wait until it drys and brush it out or if you have some goo gone bab that on a paper towel and then gently rub the dogs fur inbetween the goo gone and paper toweling. Then rewash the area!
There will be instructions on the bottle as to how to remove it. Sometimes soapy water will work (which you've tried), others you have to saturate in a high oil solution (baby oil/olive oil) others normal make up remover will work.

    Good luck!
I use the product Goo Gone, on most sticky things, it should work. You can find it at most stores.
Is it small enough patches to cut or shave out??? If so that's what I would do. Hair grows back and this way you won't be putting unnecessary chemicals on the coat and trying to brush it or scrub it out. That's the best way I have found to get a foreign substance out of a dog or cat's coat. If it's over a larger portion of the hair, try the adhesive remover you can use on pets. Ask at your local pet store or your veterinarian.

    Hope this helps

    Good luck
My guess is your going to have to trim the fur, i wouldnt suggest putting a number of chemicals on the dog or creating pain by trying to get the glue off.
    Shave them
You can try fingernail polish remover. It might work the best. You can also try peanut butter.
I had a shih tzu when I was a kid and he got gum in his hair and we just have to cut it nothing work but that..
You could take him to a groomer, or call one to see if they have anything that they could do befre you waste a trip. If not, you may just have to cut the glue out.

I hope your little ones were reprimanded and taught that this IS not how to treat the family pet.

Add: Well, look at that! You didn't ask and yet you still received! Wish I had your kind of luck. :)
I'm not positive about glue, but anything oily should work. I would try food products since you're dog might lick it. Mayonnaise, peanut butter, butter, vegetable oil.

Krazzy glueI am making a halloween costume. what glue or adhesive should i use when gluing rubber to plastic?
Super glue or Crazy glue would probably work best.
They have this glue at like Home Depot that is in a spray can It's great !
Gorilla glue is the bomb. it sticks to almost anything, including rubber and plastic! i use it all of the time. just make sure that you use a damp rag to dampen the surfaces and then clamp them together for 4 hours. It will certainly make things easier!
    glue gun???
I'd use good ol' rubber cement, but, hey, I'm kinda old fashioned.

It should hold elf ears okay and you may even be able to peel them off the crown for reuse some other time.

Most of the other answers seem pretty permanent...
Your going to have to find some gkue that doesn't rely on pores. That's all I can say.
