accidentally spilt glue adhesive on my lace front wig now the hair is hard and crusty with white flakes ?

urgently need help accidentally spilt glue adhesive on my lace front wig now the hair is hard and crusty with white flakes ?
if the hair on the wig is human..... try acetone or white spirit...... GENTLEY comb with a small toothed comb starting combing the hair at the ends and working your way up. then when finished wash it in the shampoo designed for the hair piece

if the hair is fiber i wouldn't touch it. sorry it would burn the hair.... it will have ruined it. (new one needed) accidentally spilt glue adhesive on my lace front wig now the hair is hard and crusty with white flakes ?
Ok your best bet is a citric based solvent like C-22 or De-Solv-It, the acetone wont work because it wont break down the glue enough to remove it. we would only recommend to use the acetone based removers to remove lace tape but not actual adhesive glues.

Go to your local supermarket or hardware store pick up the citrus based solvent and spray a heap in the area you need it removed from. Leave it for about 1-2 minutes then use cotton wool to start wiping off the glue, spray again and then start using a fine comb to get the extra bit of glue out.

all else fails get a new piece...

good luck

soak it in really hot water - fill the sink with hot water and then add some boiling water from the kettle directly onto the gluey bits (thisll hopefully soften/melt the glue, and wear washig up gloves so you dont burn ya fingers!) and rub your fingers through to remove the glue, and shampoo it. Dont forget the conditioner! Then wring the wig out, put it on your head so you get the shape back and then leave it to dry naturally. Style it when its fully dry.
wash it
