Best glue/adhesive for the job?

i have this wooden box with panels on it, i plan to stain the box %26amp; glue wall paper on the panels, what is the best glue/adhesive to use?Best glue/adhesive for the job?
You could use a couple of different products. Since you are gluing wall paper onto wood, wallpaper glue would work just fine as long as it is on raw wood and the wood has not ben sealed with a polyurethane product. If you seal the wood then you might want to use a rubber cement product. This is a contact cement, you put it on both surfaces. let it dry then stick them together. And then you could always use the old standby ';Elmer's Glue'. It works well on almost any surface.Best glue/adhesive for the job?
If you stain the box make sure it drys for a day or two before applying wallpaper. If its a big box and you plan on using allot of wallpaper use a wallpaper prep and regular wallpaper paste. If its a small box you can use boarder paste for wallpaper or regular white glue. Apply with a paintbrush and smooth out any air bubbles or excess glue after the paper is applied.

If you do seal it and choose to use a rubber cement as the previous answer suggests make sure the sealer drys for a few days cause the contact cement can have a chemical reaction with the sealer and lift it off the wood and cause you much aggravation. I wouldnt go that route, too much things could go wrong
