I had a cap fall off of a tooth do they make an adhesive to glue it back on myself?

Yes, they do make a temporary cement that you can purchase over-the-counter in the event you can't get to a dentist and need to cap placed back on immediately. However.. keep in mind that the cement is ';temporary';!! Most people think that as long as it keeps it on that's it's ok. Not the case. Get in to see your dentist as soon as possible so it can be recemented properly. The tooth and the inside of the crown needs to be cleaned and also it will be seated correctly if the dentist does it. Not doing it properly could lead to caries developing underneath the crown. Also, if a crown is left off for too long, the tooth will shift causing the crown to no longer fit... a new crown will be very costly.I had a cap fall off of a tooth do they make an adhesive to glue it back on myself?

No, you need to have the dentist do it. He will make sure the tooth is cleaned out before recapping it; you don't want stuff growing in there under the cap.
It's extremely likely that you would still have to go to the dentist, but have them clean the tooth of the gunk you put on and perhaps redo the cap. Best to just go the dentist and have them fix it.
ya but ill be false one...
If they do, I wouldn't try it. It needs to be a perfect fit, or it could cause more trouble than it's meant to solve.
There is a temporary cement that you can buy at drug stores and they work fairly well. This is temporary and you should get the dentist to redo the cement as soon as you can.
the stores sell some but it is temporary until you can get to your dentist to fix it.
Yes indeed! Wal-Mart sells two different types. Just go to the toothpaste/toothbrush aisle and look in the section that has small items hanging from pegs. You will find it there.

I suspect most any drug store would carry at least one type.

Do NOT use super glue...big BIG mistake! ;)

Good Luck!
No you have to go into the denists office and they have to use some special x-ray light to dry it
you can put it back on but dont recommend it..if you put it on wrong decay can get under it and is a good place for bacteria to grow..also if you put it on and its not completely seated it will be high which will cause you to chew on it more than your other teeth which eveantually make it really sore and cause a tooth ache... you dont need a light like some one said unless it is an all porcelain crown. Most ccrowns have metal under them that you cant see which would make the light no tshine through... Only an x-ray will show if the crown still fits well and there is no decay left or around it...
