You should be able to remove an iron on patch by reheating the patch with an iron to warm and loosen the glue. Working from the edges, slowly peel off the patch. You will likely need to re-heat the patch a few times. Try getting it warm or hot with an iron, once it is warm the adhesive glue should release.
